I want to know if there is a simple solution to this - such as resetting the GEM (the inside electric module) in front of the passenger chair. Also if there is no possibility to reset it or something similar i would like to know where i could get some decent prices for this?

Mattyharman. The Generic Electronic Module (GEM) is found on Ford vehicles and is basically a Body Control Computer. It controls many of the following functions on most Ford vehicles: The GEM is bolted to the back of the fuse box. Sometimes though the fuse box gets water in it and causes the same problems too.
You select the required module (FACM in this case), then press the reset. It may be worth trying that. I know of no harm to be done by removing the MAF. A lot of people have done this, it is a way of testing the MAF as it goes into a default mode while disconnected.

There is also a sensor for remote entry in the roof above the interior light. There should be a blank on the lower steering column cowling (where the ignition switch would be), if you can't get the car to start remove the blank and insert the key into the dock, you should get ignition then.
